A thick leaf
Soft and smooth
That when you scrape
It oozes something toxic
A stream of rotten semen
Thalidomide children
That will never be born
Smiling in cradles
Smoking cigars and sucking juices
Help them
They are
Stroking each other
With their twelve-fingered hands
Help them
Help them
They are fading and will die
The power of simplicity
I want to be
A simple frail spider
Seeking life
In the web
Of someone else’s mind
Even if he ends up killing me
For the sake of another girl’s favour
A simple creature
Lying naked on a bed
Opening my legs
To a swan that once upon a time was wild
But got tamed from people’s uninspired feeding
I want to be
A simple swan
That chooses not to fly
To feed from someone else’s river
To let the water run through me
With the risk of drowning me
And simply float there with the current
Filtering from the clouded water
Plankton and serenity
I want to be
The simple, monotonous sound
Of a red & blue train
The lullaby of a child’s toy
That will muffle the screams of my thoughts
And leave an echo of tranquillity
A simple sweater
Radiating silent power
Laughing at my impudence
And tying knots
In the stripes of pinstripe suits
In the words of shallow people
I want to be
A simple white fairy of the lake
Invisible to the simple eye
To crawl at night
Under the wings
Of a mighty swan
That can teach
How love can be simply expressed
With a single flutter of a tail
One day I’ll be
A simple fox
That will love eternally
And will wander through valleys in the dark
Breaking all barriers
To lick the blood off the whiskers
Of a lost soulmate
And simply lie there
To die beside him
Shedding a simple, single, heavy tear in his ear
To wake him up
Grasping, at last,
The power
The challenge
Of simplicity
A simple frail spider
Seeking life
In the web
Of someone else’s mind
Even if he ends up killing me
For the sake of another girl’s favour
A simple creature
Lying naked on a bed

The power

Of simplicity
Till the day after tomorrow
I’m lying down
By the end of the world
A street lamp and a blue still sky
And you tell me the world is on fire
The street lamp
Fire bugs are drawn to it
Tie them together with your words
To make a hula-hoop of light
A shape to encircle my restlessness
And throw it around my waist
To catch me
And hold me there
Playing in it naked
Till the day after tomorrow
Can I be drawn to your light
Till the day after tomorrow?
The blue still sky
Scare away,
The way you do it now
The fear of stillness
And lie with me here
By the end of the world
Till the day after tomorrow
Letting the blue
Create new memory
The world on fire
Keep us damp,
The way you do it now
With wet kisses
And let me use the embers of the world
To set your imagination on fire
Till the day after tomorrow
And when the dream you talk about
Is about to end
Hold on tight
And roll us over
Down the end of the world
So that tomorrow never ends
By the end of the world
A street lamp and a blue still sky
And you tell me the world is on fire
The street lamp
Fire bugs are drawn to it
Tie them together with your words
To make a hula-hoop of light
